about the site
Justafangirl.org's original goal was to be mainly a review site for various fandoms I enjoy watching. However, it never quite took off the way I wanted, and thus I changed my mind into becoming a fanfiction rec site.
The site was purchased and started on
October 25, 2013 - domain and hosting was purchased at
Dreamhost. Sometime after that, real life and time got away from me (and lack of money) meant the site had to be shutdown and lived in whatever hell domains go after someone drops it. Until finally in
December 2024 came around and my drive do what I want finally caught up to me and I bought the domain and hosting again. This time it'll be a catch-all. Old fansites of mine that I've been wanting to bring back, fanfiction maybe, and online trading card games. Who knows? Not me.
about the name
Justafangirl.org pretty much explains itself. I'm a fangirl, and have been since I was a young girl (although at the time I had no idea of this). When I thought about it, I instantly fell in love with the name, because not only did it fit the concept for this website, but it also fit me. My old domain name was
muse-insanity.org which yes I absolutely still love but since my muse has taken it's haitus since my late 20s (the name still means something to me though and I'll probably half regret not going with it).
